FAQs
What is your goal as a band? PDF Print E-mail
As always, we want to make good music. We've built our band around a classic-feeling modern-edged sound, and a live show that leaves people wanting more. Our focus has never been on making "that one hit" that gets played all over the radio for a month and then totally forgotten. Through word of mouth, we want to continue to build a huge, loyal audience of people who respect us as artists, writers, musicians, and performers. Our focus is on making meaningful music, and putting on a live show unlike anything you've ever seen — one that leaves people talking about it for the rest of the year. That's our goal.

Who do they sound like? PDF Print E-mail
The band's sound is most often compared to that of the Barenaked Ladies. There has also been a widely-varying mix of other attempts at comparison, with artists ranging from Matchbox Twenty, Hootie & The Blowfish and Dave Matthews Band, to Sister Hazel, The Eagles, and James Taylor. We don't necessarily endorse any of these, however :-).

Listen yourself by clicking here. Then, you can let us know who YOU think the band sounds like by posting on the "WHO DO THEY SOUND LIKE" message board here.

Who are your influences? PDF Print E-mail
We grew up listening to our dad play covers of Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, and The Beatles. We also have drawn a lot from the late-nineties era of rock, with bands like the Foo Fighters, R.E.M., and Collective Soul.

Are they REALLY all brothers? PDF Print E-mail
Yes, Micah, Josiah, and Gabriel are all brothers. They came from a family with 11 kids — 3 girls and 8 boys.

Do you all get along? PDF Print E-mail
"We always get along — until Gabe does something stupid and I have to clobber him," says Micah through laughter. "No, really...we do get along pretty well, actually." Josiah: "I talk to so many other bands and their members, and one thing I've noticed is that a lot of them complain about one or two of the members being hard to get along with. That's something we've never really had a problem with...except for when it comes to Micah (just kidding!)".
