Okay, so there are a couple of things we've been working on. One thing is our desire to produce lots and lots of content for you to enjoy. We like to write songs, and we like people to hear them and give us feedback. So we've got a new project, a new plan, a new undertaking.
We're going to try to release (in demo form) ONE NEW SONG every week, for who knows how long. We'll shoot for a year and see how far we get.
That means we will have to write, arrange, and record a new song every week. In case you're not aware, that's a pretty big job. And we are definitely not known for our punctuality. In fact, we're usually known for forgetting the things we're supposed to be doing. Which only makes this attempt that much more bold.
Will we succeed? Find out this weekend, when we will be releasing the first song in this series. We'll post it here, and it will be part of our podcast, so you can subscribe to that to get the updates as soon as they arrive.
Just posted some new music for the extra-special, inner-circle Brick & Stone Club. They were two songs that I recorded in 2005, on my grandmother's computer mic, trying to keep quiet while she was asleep.
This song was originally released as a demo in November 2006. It was done as a very rough recording, which we made available on our Songwriting Archive, a section of this website which is exclusively available to our fan club members.
Later in December and the beginning of this year, it was featured on our dad's radio show out of Charleston, WV.
In February this year, we released this studio-recorded version to the fanclub, and we had some positive responses from it, so we thought we'd share it with the rest of the world.
It may never show up on an album, as most of our songs don't, but we figured some of our listeners might like to hear some of our interim projects that go on BETWEEN albums. The two versions included below will give you an idea what the songwriting and production process is like.
So, without further ado, we give you..."Elijah":
